How are class placements for advanced ballet, jazz & lyrical classes made?
The instructors of the advanced classes evaluate the progress and skill level of dancers and make the class placements they feel are appropriate for each student. If you are new to the studio contact the Organizational Director and she can arrange a time to meet with an instructor to decide which class will best meet the student’s needs.
Does my child have to participate in the recital?
Performing in front of a group increases a child’s self-esteem and confidence and provides recognition of their accomplishments. All students are encouraged to participate in the recital. Students who are unable to participate in the recital must let the Organizational Director know by Nov. 1st (this is when the recital fee is due), to allow for costume and choreography preparation. If your child begins classes after that date you must notify the Organizational Director at the time of registration. If your child does not participate in the recital and a costume has already been purchased, then the full costume fee is still due. Recital and costume fees will be assessed for those who do not notify the Organizational Director by the deadlin
Can we have your teams or advanced classes perform at our event?
We love out-of-studio performance opportunities if they fit our studio schedule. Contact the Organizational Director about setting up a performance.

We cater primarily to homeschoolers and therefore have many classes during the day. Although our teachers are highly qualified and compensated, the rest of the staff (directors, board, costumes, website, etc.) are strictly volunteer positions. We also employ high standards for modesty in costumes, music & choreography.

Clogging Teams
Where can I find information on the clogging competitions?
Starz Unlimited attends competitions hosted by America Onstage. Click here to go to the America Onstage website for competition information.
How are clogging team members selected?
A clogging camp is held during the summer, where the Clogging Director teaches short routines to the students. Observations are made throughout the week by the Clogging Director to determine the level of each dancer. Students are evaluated on how well they were able to learn the routines and how accurately the steps are performed. The Clogging Director places students who meet basic criteria onto teams based upon skill level and age.
