Home Classes Dancewear & Shoes

Dancewear

Starz Unlimited places regular catalog orders for shoes and dancewear. Go to the Contact Us page and contact a representative that can assist you in placing an order, or learn more at the studio.

For best pricing check the Starz Unlimited Dance Studio for shoes and costumes.  Shoes, and Starz Gear are available in the waiting room - costumes for duets, etc. are available in the office.

Classroom Attire & Shoes

Bare midriffs, sleeveless attire & halter tops are NOT allowed in any class at Starz. Jeans should not be worn to any class. If a student is wearing something deemed inappropriate, the student will be asked to put on appropriate clothing before returning to class.

Ballet classes:  Black leotards, pink tights, & pink ballet slippers are preferred, with hair pulled back off of their face.  Ballet skirts are optional.  Boys may wear t-shirts, shorts or sweats, and black ballet slippers.

Jazz/Modern classes: Biker shorts, jazz pants, slim-fitting sweats and jazz or ballet shoes are appropriate for girls.  Hair should be pulled back off of face in a bun, braid or ponytail. Boys may wear sweat pants or shorts and a t-shirt.

Clogging classes: Sweats, shorts, or other loose-fitting pants and t-shirts are appropriate for clogging classes. No jeans or tank tops. Slick-soled or regular tap shoes purchased at DI or other thrift stores work great for clogging. Clogging taps may be purchased from local shoe repair stores.

Tumbling classes: Sweats, shorts and leotards with footless tights are appropriate for tumbling classes. Bare feet or ballet shoes are recommended.

Ballroom classes: Knee-length or longer skirts are appropriate for girls. Pants that are easy to move in are required for boys. No jeans in class. Ballroom shoes, or slick-soled dress shoes are recommended.

Hip-Hop: Sweats, shorts, or other loose-fitting pants and t-shirts are appropriate for hip-hop classes. Tennis shoes that tie are needed.

Shoes:  Dance shoes (tap/clogging, ballet, jazz, ballroom) should NOT be worn outside the studio.  Grit & dirt can cause damage to shoes as well as to our floor.  Please help your children to keep their shoes in good repair (tighten loose screws, remove sharp pieces, etc.).
